Horse Re-education

It is very common for horse owners to come across problems with their horse, which are beyond their level of skill, knowledge and competence. It is therefore necessary to allow us, to bridge that gap in skill and understanding, with one on one intensive training with your horse. Once your horse has reached a certain level of competence and understanding, it will then be ready for you to recommence your learning with your horse.

We offer Re-education assistance with the following problems:

  • General riding
  • General groundwork
  • Float/Trailer loading
  • Tying up issues
  • Handling your horse’s feet
  • Kicking
  • Biting
  • Rearing
  • Lack of confidence
  • Bucking
  • Bolting
  • Any other difficulties regarding horses

What are people saying about Horse He-education?

Here are some testimonials from our clients
  • "I wanted to thank you so much for making my horse 'bombproof' for trail riding. I was still at the very beginning of my riding experiences. Your training was worth every cent and I could relax on my safe horse in situations were others would have had problems! It's priceless! Thank you very much for putting me on the right track!"
  • "Thank you very much to Ben for his work with my gelding, I was always made to feel welcome to watch and learn. I would trust Ben with any horse; it is a true privilege to learn from such an amazing horseman."
  • "After my newly acquired 3 yr. old gelding kicked out when we first closed the tailgate on the float and got hung by his hind legs over the back chain, naturally he would not walk onto a float again. I sought Ben’s help to re-educate Leo, as I was afraid the situation could go from bad to worse. Within 6 sessions we had Leo self-loading and I was able to drive him home confidently. Ben supported me all the way, and taught my horse and me how to be relaxed and confident. He was a pleasure to work with."
  • "About 18 months ago I had totally lost my confidence with my horse and he knew it. I was at my wits end and I would feel sick at the thought of having to ride him. I was tossing up whether to sell him but decided to see if Ben could help me. Ben came out and spent a few weeks riding Paddy and "retuning" all the damage I had done. He then gave me lessons not only on my riding and horsemanship; he worked on my confidence and outlook on life. What I learnt was, that it wasn't Paddy who was the problem, it was my attitude and approach to the time I was spending with Paddy. Paddy and I are now a great team. He respects me and listens to me now and we have a harmonious relationship. I often recommend Ben to my horsey friends, as I think he has a wealth of knowledge not only for the horse but for the mental and physical well being of the rider/owner as well."
